About the Conference:
The All-Hazard Incident Management Team Training and Education Conference (AHIMT-TEC) is a first of its kind, grass roots, national effort developed to provide policy and decision makers concise and detailed documentation of the issues, concerns, and support needs to continue the development and sustainment of the All-Hazard Incident Management Team Program. The agenda also focuses on providing attendees critical information on Lessons Learned and Best Practices developed by existing All-Hazard Incident Management Teams that could be beneficial to other AHIMT’s.

This is a unique and rare opportunity for the Incident Management community involved in the All-hazard Incident Management Team program including Team members, coordinators, and managers, to communicate to DHS personnel the needed support and priorities for NIMS products that support the AHIMT program.

Target Audience:
The schedule and focus are designed for personnel involved in the USFA’s All-Hazard Incident Management Team program. Personnel who should attend include:

  • AHIMT Program Managers;
  • AHIMT Points of Contact;
  • AHIMT Training Coordinators;
  • AHIMT Incident Commanders;
  • AHIMT Members with coordination or training responsibility

Topics to Be Covered Include:

  • Position Task Books and Checklists;
  • Training requirements and the Credentialing Program;
  • Grants and Funding;
  • Deployment Standards;
  • Team Startup Equipment and Procedures;

and other issues and concerns identified during the conference by the attendees. The outcome of this Training and Education Conference will be a set of white papers describing the needs, priorities, and systems essential for the continued development of the AHIMT program and incident management capability. Attendees will leave with valuable Lessons Learned and Best Practices of developing and maintaining AHIMT's.
